The Wisconsin Fund is a State funded grant program that provides grants to homeowners and small commercial businesses to help offset a portion of the cost for the repair, rehabilitation, or replacement of existing failing Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (POWTS). Eligibility is based upon several criteria, including household income and age of the structure. Fond du Lac County Code Enforcement Office assists interested individuals in determining eligibility and in preparation of the grant application.
The County office will not accept an application for the grant program until a State Sanitary Permit has been issued for the installation of a replacement system. There is also a $100.00 application fee when applying for the grant.
